Scorpio Full Moon in The Swiss Glacier Canyon

On Friday May 1^st, we had the full moon in Scorpio. Scorpio is the sign of deep waters, intensity, and emotional truths. Scorpio excavates the hidden recesses of our psyche—Scorpio asks us to allow for discomfort in the dark, deep places. During the day on the full moon, I was in the Glacier Canyon in Grindelwald, Switzerland and my experience mirrored the energies of the full moon.

Caves @ the Canyon--the contrast of light and dark (Very Scorpionic!)

The canyon had a mix of tight and narrow places and open, expansive rocks and water flowing. We navigated through wet, cold, caves with limited lighting—it was a very Scorpionic place. Intense and unyielding. I felt invited to explore, despite the unknown of what lurked in the dark corners.

Massive Walls, Colors, Waterfalls

This full moon was also trine Jupiter, the planet of blessings and bigness. When we can embrace our wholeness—darkness included, we can feel our power and our expansiveness. This power was reflected in the immensity of the cliff walls. There were beautiful colors and striations within the rocks, with tall walls and waterfalls cascading from the top. I recognized the smallness of my individual experience, while feeling into the universal pulse of consciousness. I am part of this amazing glacier canyon and I am supported by the Earth & the Universe.

I could feel the spirits of the canyons, encouraging me to continue stepping into my expansion—I had nothing to fear. This is the message of the moon. Embrace the internal fears and you will find your power and blessings. Step into a place of courage and allow yourself to be seen and feel nurtured in the authentic expression. Be brave. Take risks. Break away from societal “truths” that don’t serve you anymore (or never did), and find the truths and means of expression that aligns with your emotional core and intuition.

Astrology is not cause. It is a system, describing the unfolding of individual and collective consciousness. We can find the meaning of astrology when we look at our external, material experience, because astrology mirrors the learning with which we are partaking. Astrology can demystify the uncertainty and help us center in knowing that helps us align with themes that are beneficial to us deepening further into Truth, Love, Freedom, & Authenticity.
